North Adams Hospital was quite small in its earliest days; however, they were still able to have both a children’s and maternity ward by the 1930s. There was oftentimes a lack of children patients and so nurses would travel to the Bellevue School of Nursing and receive training in pediatrics and “infant feeding.”
